Helping parents raise confident, resilient teens with clarity — a parenting coach and bestselling author whose working life has been spent on the lives of children and women, in classrooms, in refugee camps and now on the page.
Parenting Coach · Bestselling Author · Former UNICEF Education Specialist · Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Hema Vinod is an International Education Specialist with over thirty years of experience, including fifteen years as an Education Specialist with UNICEF. Her humanitarian work took her to conflict-affected countries — Uganda, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Somalia and Iraq — designing and delivering education programmes for disadvantaged children alongside governments and civil society.
After completing her international assignments she returned to India in 2020 and became a Certified Professional Coach through the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC). During the pandemic she discovered her passion for writing, focused squarely on empowering parents and teenagers.
In 2021 she published her first book, Parenteening Made Simple, offering practical strategies for modern parenting; a Hindi translation is available on Kindle. In 2022 came Girl, Empower Yourself, a guide to help young girls grow into confident, happy women, also available in Hindi. In 2023 she published ABC of Parenting on the mental and emotional health of adolescents, introducing practical parenting pillars alongside real-life stories from ten parents. And in 2024 she launched Success Guide for Teens, a comprehensive resource for young people navigating their journey to adulthood.
All of her books are available on Kindle, with paperback editions on Amazon.
Hema hosts a WhatsApp community where girls can ask questions and find encouragement.
